Yes, and typical Chinese LED decorations look the same, and as a rule - faceless.The light must be dynamic: you will need a control controller. Simple LEDs shine beautifully, but the spot lights do not create volume. So we need ceiling lamps for each LED element. The calculation of the garland starts from the power supply. The option is purely individual: I used an unnecessary power supply from a laptop. Estimated number of LEDs - no more than 100 pieces, when using standard LED 5 mm, the total current consumption (20 mA * 100) is equal to 2 A at maximum brightness. For a serial connection of 6 diodes (the voltage drop on each is about 3 volts), the voltage of the power supply is 18-20 volts. General calculation of the power supply of the garland: We collect 5 lines. Each "thread" consists of 18 light-emitting diodes on 6 pieces. per channel (RGB variant). 18 * 5 = 90 pcs., Total current 1.8 A. Thus, the power supply unit for a laptop with parameters: 19 volts, 4 amperes, is suitable. This provides a double reserve for power.For ease of installation, I used dupon type 4 pin connectors (2.54 mm pitch).The corresponding set has long been acquired from the same Chinese, an excellent help for various electronic crafts.As I planned to hide the LEDs in the ceiling lamps - a package of 100 pieces was bought on Aliexpress. snowflakes for garlands. I made neat cuts along the cable on the wires of the desired color, cut and tinned the installation sites.After assembling each LEDlooks like this:It turned out neat and reliable. Soldering is convenient on the fixture with a magnifying glass, which is called the "third hand".Next, connect the power wire (common "+") to the channels, through resistors.And connect with the "plus."We are covering this loop with heat shrinkage of a large diameter. We install connectors at the opposite end. The result is 5 identical three-channel lines of 18 LEDs.We collect the connection node: 5 return connectors with the common control loop. The result is such a cable: on the one hand - 5 connectors for lines with LEDs,on the other hand, a connector for connection to the controller. When fixing the knot on the Christmas tree, I used a tightening clamp.

Selection of the necessary materials:1. If you do not want to spend time on making your own scheme (there are many options, the cheapest one is on the Arduino), you can take a ready controller for an RGB tape. All circuits operate on the same principle: 3 controlled channels, the turn-on sequence is set, and the brightness of the light. Actually, the three colors here are conditional, you can connect 3 channels of identical LEDs, and enjoy the light effects. To power the 19-volt channels, I chose a controller with a universal voltage of 12-24 volts. The control circuit is powered from any voltage in this range, at the output we get the power supply voltage: in my case 19 V. A prerequisite (for my circuit) is the presence of a remote control for operating modes. 3. Instead of a cable harness, I choseRGB cable(3 channels + 1 common). 4. Shrink tubes in different colors.
Calculation of wiringThe LEDs, even with a serial connection (in my case, 6 diodes), are connected through a current-canceling resistor. Parameters of LED elements on the package:
- For the RED channel (voltage drop 1.8-2.0 V), the resistance is 420 Ohms.
- For the GREEN and BLUE channels (voltage drop 3.0-3.2 V), the resistance is 82 Ohm (green) and 75 Ohm (blue). The green LED element shines brighter, so a resistor with a higher nominal value is used to equalize the overall picture.
Putting a garlandYou can use twisted wires, like on factory garlands. I liked the construction on the train more.
