Diet for dysbacteriosis

Dysbacteriosis is an extremely unpleasant phenomenon, accompanying, as a rule, the course of various diseases of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). Medical methods of treatment of the disease, of course, should be carried out strictly under the supervision of a physician, but you should not detract from the importance of diet with intestinal dysbiosis.

Millions of different bacteria live in our intestines, both beneficial (bifidobacteria, lactobacilli and others) and pathogenic. If the number of both is approximately the same, then everything is calm in the intestines. But if this ratio changes in the direction of harmful, then the useful ones perish, giving room for distribution to their enemies. That's when dysbacteriosis develops.

Intestinal dysbiosis is not only unpleasant in and of itself, as it causes abdominal pain, bloating, general weakness, constipation or diarrhea, but also causes a decrease in immunity, which leads to an exacerbation of chronic human diseases.

Since dysbiosis can be accompanied by diarrhea or constipation, then the diet for dysbacteriosis will also vary. But there are general recommendations.

It should be noted that a strict diet should be observed only during periods of exacerbation of the disease, in the rest of the time it is recommended to adhere to the rules of healthy nutrition.

What to eat

  • Spicy seasonings, spices, pickles and smoked meats, canned food, so as not to irritate the inflamed intestinal mucosa.
  • Products that cause fermentation processes (fresh pastries, cabbage, apples, carbonated drinks, milk).
  • Mushrooms, all beans.
  • Sour berries and fruits.
  • Raw vegetables, especially onions, garlic and radishes.
  • Too hot or cold dishes.
  • Sweets (sweet pastries, cakes, sweets, chocolate).

  • Cholesterol rich foods, including by-products.

  • Dairy products
  • Lean meat and fish
  • Kashi - buckwheat, wheat, rolled oats
  • Bread with bran, but not white and, preferably, slightly dried
  • Of drinks: juices, broth hips

For dysbiosis with diarrhea, the following diet is recommended.

  • Spicy seasonings, spices, pickles and smoked meats, canned
  • Mushrooms

  • Yesterday's wheat bread, dried sponge cake
  • Slimy soups
  • Low-fat meat and fish
  • Cottage cheese
  • Pureed vegetables, potatoes and carrots
  • Kashi, except wheat and pearl barley
  • Of the drinks: jelly, broth hips, very useful tea, a decoction of dried bird cherry and blueberries.

All dishes must be steamed or boiled, cleaned. Serve them in a warm form. It should be noted that food should be fractional, 5-6 times a day, portions should be small, so as not to give too much load to the intestinal enzymes.

Particular attention should be paid to the diet in children with dysbacteriosis. This disease very often pursues our children, delivering a lot of trouble to both the children themselves and their parents. If you suspect this disease, you should immediately consult a doctor who will prescribe the necessary tests, and then treatment. But parents, of course, should also know everything about the diet in children’s dysbacteriosis, since the responsibility for feeding the child lies entirely on their shoulders.

A very small child, of course, needs only breast milk. Breastfeeding should not be stopped while taking medication. Older children should be given good nutrition. The diet should be, above all, balanced and gentle.

In periods of acute illness, the child needs:

  • Boiled lean meat of chicken, veal or rabbit
  • Kashi: buckwheat, oatmeal, rice
  • Vermicelli
  • Boiled vegetables, raw carrots and apples
  • White dried bread, biscuits

If fermentation processes begin, it is necessary to exclude raw vegetables and carbohydrates from the diet. Very useful decoction of wild rose, chamomile raspberries and lingonberries.

Treatment of dysbacteriosis is a long process, and the basis of it is a diet, so it should be taken as a special seriousness, it is impossible to abandon the treatment, it is necessary to complete it. And then do not forget about the rules of a healthy, rational and balanced diet.
