How to decorate niches
Repair is an expensive pleasure. And it also has a very detrimental effect on the nervous system: it is difficult to find a talented and conscientious master, it is necessary to control the work process, it is necessary to correct the details ... You can avoid these problems by doing everything yourself. For example, decorate niches, using improvised materials: old sheets, children's paints, toilet paper. Hard to believe, but true. Materials for work:Place the fabric in a container with a solution and thoroughly soak the entire surface. The cloth piece should be more than 20-25 centimeters on the surface to be decorated from all sides. Slightly squeezing the fabric, straighten it in the deepening of the niche, bending the edges in order to avoid their obrashivaniya. We begin to fasten the fabric, pressing it to the surface of the recess of the niche. It is better to move from the corner to the center and the opposite corner, then attach the rest of the fabric.We lay chaotic folds of different sizes and directions. We press every centimeter of fabric against the wall.Thoroughly sprinkle the entire surface of the fabric with water and form leaves and flower petals from the laid folds (tucks and smooths the inside). As long as the fabric is wet it moves easily in any direction.You can pre-draw the layout of flowers, leaves and buds.Direct the new solution and repeat the first stage of work, filling all the niches with the fabric.
Apply the solution into the leaf cavity, not smoothing and not equalizing it. If there is insufficient volume, you can apply another layer of the solution, but only after drying the previous one.Scratch leaf veins (I used a nail on 20).Similarly, fill the cavities of the petals of flowers,buds.And decorating m their white wallpaper (for painting).Dissolve wallpaper glue in a small amount of water. The glue must be thick enough, not drip or leak.Apply thick glue to the corners.Roll out the half of the roll of toilet paper and , clamping the pepper folds, put it on the applied glue,pressing to the corner on both sides.Gently “tuck in” the surface of the toilet paper with a soft sponge dipped in thick wallpaper glue. You can not rub and pull!Align the edges of the folds of the creased and pressed to the surface of the toilet paper (I used the old handle, just putting it to the edge and slightly pushing towards the corner). It is necessary to level immediately after the application of the paper, before it has dried out.Raw edges look like this.After complete drying, the paper becomes almost stone, firmly securing the wallpaper seam and camouflaging the corner.Decorate a corner with outer and inner sides.Without touching the edges of the sheet, apply longitudinal strokes of a green color with a wide brush.Apply torn narrow strokes with base paint (as on the corners).Apply a dark paint -base in the center of the bud and on the edges.We dip the brush in the water and" blur "it caused dark brush strokes (we make cross-brush strokes back and forth along dark brushstrokes).Similarly, apply a pale pink color: smear with paint, then blur with water .You can use two shades of pink (the bud will seem more vivid).In some places, the edges of a bud can be even darkened, causing chaotic strokes to be darker than the base.Apply the paint-base on the edges of the petals, blur it with water.Also paint scratched streaks of sulfur monk petals.Apply “torn” strokes with brown paint (darker than the base paint) in the middle of the flower (I just poked with a brush like God’s soul laid). We draw stamens-pistils in the forte of a very elongated letter “T” with the same brown paint. Immediately we determine which direction the flower will look, in the same direction we “spread” stamens-pistils.Make thinner strokes with black paint over it. Add a few stretched points at the base of the pistil stamens." Animate "flowers with pink strokes, blurred with water.All work is done! We admire the beauty and originality of the masterpiece, created by yourself.
- Soft print fabric (old bedding) - the size of the back walls of niches + 20-25cm around the perimeter each;
- Toilet paper - 1 roll;
- Construction alabaster (can be replaced with medical gypsum powder), water, wallpaper glue, dry putty, PVA construction glue , gouache art, sponge for washing dishes.
Stages of work.
First stage: create the foundation.Dissolve a small amount of alabaster in water with the addition of a building clay its PVA (for 400 grams of water we add 100 grams of alabaster and 200 grams of liquid PVA glue).We prepare the solution in a small container, since it thickens rather quickly and becomes unsuitable for use (for each niche a new solution).
Second stage: add volume to flowers.Directing putty: mix a glass of water with a glass of PVA glue, gradually add putty to it, without ceasing to interfere. The consistence of very thick sour cream should turn out: it is easy to warm up, at the same time not to drip and not to flow.
The third stage: paste over the remaining surfaces.We apply wallpaper glue on all lateral parts of the niches and the joints between them.
The fourth stage: close the corners.Cut toilet paper roll in half.
Fifth stage: paint all surfaces in the desired color range.All exterior and interior parts of the niches, including fabric decors and toilet paper on corners,paint in one color.
The sixth stage: accent angles.Apply side edges of the folds to folds toilet paper paint a darker color.
Seventh stage: paint the leaves.Apply a dark paint (as on the corners) on the leaves (covering them more strongly, almost completely) and on the buds (causing weaker, sparse strokes).
Scratched streaks are colored dark brown.Shading a sheet with gray paint (without touching the edges).
Eighth stage: paint flowers and buds.Fill the voluminous parts of the petals with white paint. Buds are also whitewashed, without touching the edges.
