How to weave a bracelet from floss

You will need
  • - floss threads;
  • - pin;
  • - a fixed object to which the work is attached;
  • - 4 wooden beads.
Cut 3 strandsfloss6-8 times longer than the intended product. Fold them in half. Back off 8-10 cm from the beginning and knot the threads together. To the beginning you will return a little later. Attach the work to a fixed object - for example, to a nail driven into the edge of the table. You can pull a thick thread between the backs of the chair and already on it to tie the threads in a knot. Auxiliary thread after work is simply cut.
Straight or oblique knotted weaving is most suitable for a bracelet. To make the pattern visible, choose threads of three different colors. Arrange the work so that the threads of the same color are next. Take a strand that is on the left side. Put it on the next thread, then under it and stretch it into the resulting loop. For the second knot, draw the same thread first under the next one, then above it and back into the loop.
Similarly, tie 2 knots of the same thread on all the others. Having finished the row, release this thread and do the same for the next one, which has now become the last from the left. You will have 2 rows woven with a thread of the same color.
After finishing the second row, make 2 rows of threads of a different color, then the next. So change colors until you weave the bracelet to the desired length. At the end of the last row tie all the threads in a knot.
Divide the weaving into 2 parts so that each one contains threads of all colors. Weave 2 ordinary braids of three strands. Attach a wooden bead to the end. Return to the beginning of the weaving and make on the other side exactly the same braids, ending with beads.
You can apply and direct weaving. In this case, the first thread should be 3-4 times longer than the others. The rest of the strands correspond to the length of the bracelet itself, taking into account the braids, plus a few centimeters so that the braids do not turn out to be too short.
In the same way as in the first method, knit the threads in a knot, stepping back from the edge by a length slightly larger than the pigtails. Align the ends of all threads. The longest should be at the same extreme left.
As in oblique weaving, make the first thread 2 knots on the next, then on the third, fourth, fifth and sixth. The second row of this same thread in the opposite direction. All other rows are also performed by this strand, which is why it should be longer.
The strings can be made exactly the same as in the first method.
