Means "Artradol": instructions for use

"Artradol" refers to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. It is prescribed for degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the joints, spinal column, primary arthrosis, osteoarthrosis, and intervertebral osteochondrosis.

How it works


The essence of the drug is to restore the cartilage surfaces of the joints. Chondroitin sulfate - an active substance that is part of "Artradol" - quickly absorbed into the blood. Its maximum concentration is detected within an hour after the application of Artradol. With blood, the substance is delivered mainly to the cartilage tissue. It is thanks to chondroitin sulfate that phosphorus-calcium metabolism in bone tissue is normalized, the loss of calcium ions is reduced, and the processes of cartilage destruction are also inhibited. In addition, the substance reduces pain in the affected joint.
The spent substance is freely excreted by the kidneys during the day.

The drug has contraindications


Like any other drug, "Artradol" has its own contraindications that should be taken into account.
First, the use of the drug during pregnancy is categorically excluded. With caution - during lactation. Secondly, it is not recommended to give the drug to children. In the course of research "Artradola", its effectiveness and safety for the child's body has not been established. Thirdly, it is contraindicated to take the drug to those individuals who have a hypersensitivity to chondroitin sulfate.
With extreme caution should take medication for thrombophlebitis, as well as bleeding.
"Artradol" can cause allergic reactions. Overdose is not known.

How to apply


The drug is available in the form of a concentrate for preparing a solution for intramuscular injection, sealed in ampoules. Before using the contents of the ampoule must be dissolved in 1 ml of injection water. The solution is injected intramuscularly, 1 g every two days. If the body tolerates the drug, the dose can be increased to 2 g.The course of treatment continues for 2 months, a second course - after 6 months.

Storage conditions


Store the drug should be in a dry, protected from direct sunlight, place at a temperature not exceeding 20oC. Shelf life of the drug is 36 months.
