Thread Decorations - Macrame Technique
Any modern fashionista knows that you can emphasize your style with various jewelry and accessories. But in order for the image to be truly elegant and unique decorations must be not only beautiful, but also original. And, as you know, the most exclusive gizmos are made by hand. That is why many girls prefer to make jewelry with their own hands. Firstly, it allows you to save money, and, secondly, you can safely say that homemade accessories are certainly the only and unique ones. One of the most ancient, but, despite this, until now, the current technique of creating jewelry is macrame. Today we will learn the basics of this art and try to make a bracelet from threads (or, as they are also called, baubles). For this we will need: floss threads (I used only 2 colors - orange and yellow, but you can combine and more shades), pin, scissors and sewing needle. The size of one / each thread should be about 50 cm. After you cut the required number of threads ( I have 4), fold them in half like this. Now back off from the fold point about 5 - 6 cm and tie a knot. Then, for the convenience of further work, pin a loop with a pin, for example, to a sofa upholstery or a carpet. If you use 2 colors, better strand through one. When using more colors, you can come up with some other order of alternating colors (for example, rainbows, etc.).
Now take the leftmost thread and tie it with the next thread twice. That is, as if we tie a knot on the first second string, and then repeat it.Next, on the same thread, we tie the knot from the next thread, which has not been used yet, twice, and so on. until all the threads are tied around the first. To make the nodules even, you must always hold the first string in tension, and tie the knots as tightly as possible. After we have made one row of knots, we repeat the procedure again, using the same principle. We also start with the leftmost thread. Make sure that the colors alternate through one.
Then from every two strings you need to make chains of knots. For this bauble, I tied five knots on each pair of threads. To make the knots look more attractive, tie them up alternately by lifting up the left one,This is the right thread. Now again we make 2 rows of knots, starting with the leftmost thread - just like we did in the very the beginning. For convenience, you can pin different parts of the bauble to the upholstery with a pin or help fix the work with a needle. In fact, weaving the entire bauble will consist of two stages - knitting a number of knots and knitting chains of knots. Therefore, we repeat these stages in turn until we get the required size. After the required number of knots is connected, we need to complete the work as follows. In the end, all the threads are tied into a knot, like at the beginning of work. After this knot, leave about 5 - 6 cm, and cut off the remnants of the threads. The upper eyelet, which at the beginning was pinned with a pin, is cut into two parts. In this way, strings are obtained, on which our dyeing will keep. As you can see, making jewelery with your own hands is not so difficult. Try it and you will definitely succeed. Good luck!
Now take the leftmost thread and tie it with the next thread twice.
Then from every two strings you need to make chains of knots. For this bauble, I tied five knots on each pair of threads. To make the knots look more attractive, tie them up alternately by lifting up the left one,This is the right thread.
