What damage did typhoon "Guchol"

June 19-20, a powerful typhoon swept through Japan. Typhoon number four, called Guchol, was approaching the coast of the country at a speed of 50 kilometers per hour. The country's Meteorological Directorate in advance reported an impending disaster. It was expected that the typhoon would hit the southeast coast of Japan.
According to weather forecasts, after the island of Kyushu, “Guchol” was supposed to pass through the entire central part of Honshu Island to the northeast. Wind speed on land could reach 35 meters per second. The authorities have warned the population that due to a hurricane there is a high probability of landslides and flooding due to river flooding. It was not recommended to leave the house without extreme necessity.
According to meteorologists, a notice of preparation for evacuation was made. Over forty thousand residents in a number of south-western districts of the Japanese island of Kyushu received this message. In addition, over two hundred domestic flights, ninety scheduled trains were canceled, passenger ferries stopped and warned all owners of private yachts and boats.
The damage after typhoon "Guchol" was significant, even despite all the measures taken. On Tuesday, June 19, in the city of Numazu, in Shizuoka Prefecture, a man of fifty-three died, he was under the rubble of a house destroyed by a typhoon. In the Yamanashi Prefecture, a 16-year-old schoolgirl was carried away by a river that was spilled as a result of heavy rains and is still missing. In addition, more than sixty people received various injuries.
One hundred and fifty thousand people were forced to evacuate from the affected area, including from areas affected by the earthquake and tsunami in March last year. About a hundred houses were flooded in Hyogo Prefecture in southwest Japan. After a power line break, almost three hundred thousand buildings were temporarily left without light.
Meanwhile, Japan was approaching a new typhoon "Talim", which became the fifth tropical cyclone in Asia. He is moving toward Japan from China. He was expected on the Japanese islands just a day after the last typhoon Guchol.
